"Red Storm"

Landscape painting,

"Red Storm" measures 30" x 30",acrylic and collaged papers on canvas.  Lots going on here really, on a paper collage base with lots of metallics and really flat paint, interesting effect.  In the severe drought we had here in Texas I actually saw a dust storm, and it was just like this!

Hot & Humid, Texas Landscape

This is "Hot & Humid", 24' x 36' acrylic on board,  with a few metallics which can't really be seen in the photograph.   Another landscape inspired by the fabulous expanse of west Texas.

"Lotus Flower"

The lotus flower is very symbolic in many Asian cultures, representing among other things - purity of body, speech and mind.  She is painted onto poured paint over which the lines make their own way with very little control from me, I've painted her over the top of those lines, so like the lotus flower growing through mud and remaining unstained, she has come from chaos and remains unshaken. 30" x 30", mixed media on canvas.

"Into The West"

"Into The West", acrylic on canvas with lots and lots of texture.  Measuring 36" x 36" square, now hanging in the Woodlands Art League Gallery on Market Street.  Lovely gold details, one of my faves.

The Warm Room

The Warm Room, another song. Painted on board, 18" x 24". I've used some stenciling on this too with lots of gold details and metallic collage, there's lots going on here.

Nightingale

Nightingale is another poured piece on board. She reminds me of a lounge singer in a piano bar, elegant and composed. Nightingale measures 20" x 24", and is in mixed media.

Anthologie

I will be showing a few pieces of work at the "Anthologie" show at the Jung Center of Houston.

The Center is located on Montrose and the opening is from 5 pm - 8pm, Saturday 12th June, the show runs from June 2 through July 14. Hope you can drop by.
